Finance solar, wind and hydro plants while supporting the energy transition.
Renewable energy crowdfunding allows individuals to finance solar photovoltaic parks, onshore or offshore wind turbines, hydroelectric plants or biogas units. Projects are led by specialist developers who typically benefit from state-guaranteed feed-in tariff contracts, securing future revenues.
This is historically the asset class with the lowest delay rates across all crowdfunding categories. Visibility into cash flows, contractually guaranteed for 15 to 20 years, significantly reduces uncertainty for lenders.
Returns are generally more modest than real estate (4–8% / year), but the risk/return profile is often more favourable, particularly on specialist platforms such as Enerfip and Lendosphere.
